nice article! i do have a question slightly outside this topic, but regarding a 58/1.4 rokkor lens as well. the focusing ring is rather stiff and i'd like to give it a shot but i'm quite scared i'll be ruining it (as i often do - last time i attempted some deep dis-assembly on a zoom lens, the lenses in the rear group all fell off i couldn't manage to figure out the correct order and positioning. i'm now the proud owner of a 'case' full of spare screws and other bits). the lens is almost pristine. no scratches, no fungus and the aperture is snappy. the only drawback is this stiffness. the same applies to my 85/1.7 rokkor.

the complete refurbishing of a lens would be a great addition to the tutorials section.
